So yeah apparently June and July flew by and it is almost time for school to start again. Geez where did the time go? I feel like we were just doing all the 'end-of-school' stuff and here I am shopping for school clothes and downloading school supply lists so we can start all over again. I did that this morning as a matter of fact. Check out my kids school supply list:

So yeah I did it. You knew I would. I mean I've been obsessed with Vin Diesel since the Fast franchise first began so why wouldn't I go the day it opened? I've seen every single movie pretty much opening weekend so this one was no different. Also thanks to me, my kids are invested, so it was a no brainer for us to go watch F9 yesterday...

If you have an awesome babysitter like I do this summer here is something they can take your kids to do. I only know about it because my sitter is constantly looking for fun stuff for my kids to do around the 432. Isn't that what summer is all about? Keeping the kids entertained and ensuring they fully enjoy their summer break?

This Sunday is Mother's Day and if there was one thing I could say to my mother right now it would be....'I get it.' Think about it, growing up, mom's were so not cool. All mom did was bug us, get on to us and lecture us for what seemed like everything! If you are a parent, you probably have gifts upon gifts upon gifts. You know which 'gifts' I'm talking about....the ones made in school by your kids! It starts out in preschool with their little hands dipped in paint, then made into a pretty little butterfly or turkey at Thanksgiving. Then you upgrade to drawings and pretty pictures they color.

This caught my attention real quick as the mother of a 14 year old. Apparently, Pfizer is waiting on the 'go-ahead' to begin vaccinating kids. Let me start by saying, I did choose to get the vaccine. For my safety and that of my children, I have now had both of my shots and I've got my little COVID vaccine card put away. (if you did wonderful if you chose not to that's great too)

Can we put this article in the things I wish my not-yet-mom friends would stop giving me advice on file? Seriously, I think I can speak for most mom's when I say that I wish my friend's that don't have children would stop telling me how to raise mine. Smdh. Why is it that these folks insist on giving you their two cents when it's not warranted? Like 'ok Karen please tell me how you being a dog mom

School will be out before you know it. It is almost that time of year that we try to figure out how to entertain the kids for a couple of summer months. Before you ship them off with the grandparents for the summer, just know that the Petroleum Museum in Midland is ready to help with some great summer camps they will be offering and registration is currently open for these camps.

If you grew up eating 'brand name' foods and the same with any kind of drinks, how lucky were you? lol I literally had this conversation with my children the other day. They are constantly trying to 'tell me what to buy' for their school lunches and trying to have a say in what we have in the fridge and pantry. 'Nice try' is what they often hear from me...

Have you ever had what Oprah has called an 'a-ha moment?' A point in time where you thought wow, I feel dumb, that wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. That is me currently with my kids homework. I think I'm pretty smart.
