If you are a parent, you probably have gifts upon gifts upon gifts. You know which 'gifts' I'm talking about....the ones made in school by your kids! It starts out in preschool with their little hands dipped in paint, then made into a pretty little butterfly or turkey at Thanksgiving. Then you upgrade to drawings and pretty pictures they color.

The gifts get cuter as they get older. Handmade Christmas ornaments, I got an adorable clay jewelry holder one year and so on and so forth. I mean I have three children, my list is long! lol And of course, momma has them put away for safe keeping, I love them all!

HOWEVER, one of my kids, my middle child, stands out above the rest (just kidding) with his gifts. Mainly because he has been in a class all through Jr. high where he has been able to make various items out of wood.

The picture you see below, cornhole boards, he made a set but for some reason I only took a picture of one. He did an amazing job and was so proud of himself. I am proud of him, wowza! Grown men might not be able to figure out how to make them and my 14 year old knocked it out of the park!

He also made wooden pens for just about everyone in the family, a full size bottle opener, the kind you hang on your wall and a couple of items for himself. But yesterday, he gave me an early Mother's Day gift. He made me the most beautiful cutting board that I have ever seen. You talk about proud mom. Not only was I badly in need of a new one, this one was made with love and by my own child's hands! Just had to brag on my baby for a minute. No doubt we love all of the things our kids make for us.
