Self Checkout Vs. Regular Checkout

Anyone else know the struggle of the self-checkout at the store? My man always tells me, just go through self-check it's quicker and I tell him no, those things never work for me! Well I finally got the chance to prove to him what I was talking about.

You see the little spinny thing? Yep, I had to wait for an actual person to come help me anyway, completely defeating my purpose of the convenience of a 'self-checkout.' This happens to me every.single.time. Therefore, I would rather wait in the long lines of a regular checkout line than take my chances of this taking the same amount of time. Thoughts? Does this happen to anyone else all the time?
