When you make the decision to have a pet, there are responsibilities that go along with being a pet owner. No matter what kind of pet it is. Food is a given but if you choose to have your pet in a nice, little comfy area of their own, with a bed, toys and such, that costs money, upkeep for grooming, boarding if you leave town and so on and so forth. Vaccinations for your pets can also get quite pricey.

Fix West Texas would like to try to help alleviate some of that cost, especially if your pocketbooks are a little tight right now. A 'Pets in Need' drive thru vaccination clinic will be held later this month.

On Saturday, June 26th, dog owners can bring their four-legged friends to a drive thru clinic, specifically for those who may have a hard time affording normal prices right now. This Saturday, make plans to drop by the West Texas Horse Center, beginning at 10 am.

Services that will be available that day until Fix West Texas runs out, are as follows:

  • free microchips
  • flea and tick preventatives
  • vaccinations for rabies, parvo, distemper and kennel cough
  • dog food until it runs out
  • free spay and neuter vouchers (ask Fix West Texas for more details)
