Tis the season is the reason, for helping and serving your community. That is exactly what the Negro Business and Professional Women's Club Inc. in Midland, along with the Salvation Army is doing.

This Saturday December 18th, they will be giving out warm blankets to anyone in the community.

The 'cozy nights' blanket drive will take place for 2 hours this Saturday morning, 10 am to 12 pm, first come, first served. The blankets will be free, however you are encouraged in the spirit of the holiday season, to make a donation to the red kettle we are all familiar with from the Salvation Army.

This is a drive-thru event, so you can drive-up, donate and drive away with your new blanket. One blanket per car please.

Here is the route to follow for the drive-thru blanket event. Start by heading down Tyler st. to Magnolia, then to Butternut Ln. into the MLK Center parking lot. The NBPW is excited to be able to help those in need stay warm this winter, so stop by for your free blanket and also feel free to give a donation of any amount to the red kettle.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Negro Business and Professional Women's Club Inc!
