Today is #blackoutTuesday. What is blackout Tuesday? It means a number of things... major labels like Def Jam, Interscope, Columbia, Capitol and many others have given their employees the day off, they are not putting out new music, a day to disconnect from work, basically it’s a call for the music industry’s accountability to the Black community, according to one source. 

You may see social media pages with just a black screen today as they stand in solidarity and support the cause. #theshowmustbepaused is another hashtag you will see as many celebrities vow to make donations to Black Lives Matter causes and do volunteer work with non-profits today and in the days to come.
