If you are eager to get out of your house and don't mind a short drive to my hometown, this weekend may be the one to head to good ol' Andrews, TX for a weekend full of fun for the whole family! The annual Wild, Wild West Festival is this Friday and Saturday the 23rd and 24th of April. With a carnival, food, a car show, a corn hole tournament, shopping and live entertainment each night you cannot go wrong by attending this awesome FREE event!

For starters, Wild Wild West Fest will take place at the ACE Arena at 1441 E. Hwy 176 in Andrews. There will be live entertainment, concerts both nights and this is how the line-up will go:

Friday
  • 5pm Texas Rain
  • 7pm  Electric Cowboys
Saturday
  • 5pm Texmaniacs
  • 7pm Kevin Fowler
  • 9pm AJ Castillo

Other than the free, live entertainment, buy the kids an armband and let them have some fun riding the rides at the carnival. Mom and dad can shop at the various vendor booths and maybe mom can even pick out a little something for herself for Mother's Day?

There will be a cornhole tournament, a display of cars for the carshow and a BBQ cook-off that cannot be missed! On Friday, the festivities begin at 5 pm through 11 pm and on Saturday, make it an all day affair as doors open at noon and the fun ends at 11 pm. With the exception of the carnival rides and games, admission to this annual event is free. We'll see you in Andrews!
