Here in West Texas, we don't often get some of the bigger musical acts to pay us a visit in Midland-Odessa.  However, that does not mean we don't see our fair share of great and talented musicians who actually do come to the Permian Basin to perform.

Upcoming Concerts in Midland-Odessa for 2025

In 2025, we've already seen a good amount of different shows from various genres such as Country music, Rock, Tejano, to Hip Hop and Rap.  However, it is only July, and the year is not over just yet.  The following is a short list of upcoming shows that are scheduled to come through Midland-Odessa.

Upcoming Country Shows

Hudson Westbrook:  Hudson Westbrook is one of Country Music's newest up-and-coming stars.  Originally from Stephenville, Texas, he is known for his Texas Red Dirt sound and his heartfelt lyrics.  After breaking out in 2024 with his smash hit "Take It Slow", he is certainly making a name for himself in the country music industry.

Upcoming Rock Shows

Puddle of Mudd:  Puddle of Mudd is a post-grunge rock band that gained notoriety around 2001.  They have seen their fair share of success and public folly.  Lead vocalist Wes Scantlin has found himself in controversial situations over the years, however that does not negate the fact that the band still continues to tour, entertain crowds, and make music. This is a little different from what we are accustomed to in Midland-Odessa.  Hopefully, the Puddle of Mudd show will show everyone that we want more rock shows in the 4-3-2.

Upcoming Hip Hop / Rap Shows 

Ying Yang Twinz: The Ying Yang Twinz are an Atlanta-based Hip Hop duo (who are not actual twins) who burst onto the Hip Hop scene in the early 2000s.  They are credited with helping push the "Crunk" genre into the mainstream with hits such as "Whistle While You Twerk", "Whisper Song", and "Salt Shaker".  They continue to perform and tour the country well into 2025.

• Where: The Tailgate, Midland, Texas

Kevin Gates: Kevin Gates is known for his raw and real storytelling and his Southern style.  Originally from Louisiana, he is also known for a slew of viral social media posts showcasing interviews where he gives his sometimes unconventional opinions on matters such as love and relationships.  He is a well-respected part of the rap community and continues to entertain crowds throughout the United States.
