New Circle K in Andrews, Texas

I’m not sure what it is about the love for gas stations in the Permian Basin, but it feels like an obsession. Perhaps it’s the convenience of having one on every corner, or maybe it’s the wide variety of snacks available—who doesn’t love snacks?

When you drive through West Texas you will notice there is no shortage of convenience stores but most locals don't mind when more decide to set up shop.

The Permian Basin is getting a long-awaited addition to the gas station scene and it's exciting news!

Andrews Welcomes Circle K

Recently the Andrews Expansion Council announced Circle K is coming to their city.

The plan is to build a $5.7 million convenience store. The new store will be built on the corner of Main & NW Mustang. Construction is expected to start in the fall of 2025, and if everything goes as planned, open by the summer of 2026.

The north part of Andrews has been steadily growing, so a new gas station on the north side would be a huge benefit for the town.

The new store will be a midway point for travelers heading north to Lubbock and South to Odessa.

Is There Any More Circle K's In The Permian Basin?

A shock to me, the Andrews location will be the second location in the Permian Basin.

Circle K only has one location in the Midland-Odessa area, located at 1821 South County Road 1130 A.

Some may say the Permian Basin doesn't need more gas stations but I beg to defer. Not all gas stations are made equally and if you are a TRUE Texan, you know why.
