How Do You Feel About The National Coin Shortage?

Wow. I had been hearing about this but never really believed it until I saw it with my own eyes. A sign in a local establishment addressing the 'national coin shortage.' (forgive my picture taking skills, thus the blurry photo) Have you been somewhere where they have asked these things of you?

Either use your debit/credit card or exact change? I have heard so many stories, theories as to whether or not this is true but this sign made me believe that apparently the pandemic has affected coin production as well? Thoughts? Would you like a society where strictly plastic and not cash is used for purchases everywhere you go?
