Doesn't it just make sense that Star Trek's Captain Kirk is going into space? No really! And, he's coming to West Texas to do it.

Next Tuesday, the one and only William Shatner will do exactly what his beloved and legendary character use to do on Star Trek, GO To SPACE!  And, not only is that a first, he will be the oldest to ever go into space. All on levels, this is just the coolest thing.

According to the mrt.com, Williams Shatner said...

"I’ve heard about space for a long time now. I’m taking the opportunity to see it for myself. What a miracle,” Shatner said in a statement.

WILLIAM SHATNER WILL BE THE OLDEST TO GO TO SPACE!

William Shatner's birthday is March 22, 1931. He is 90 years old and that will make him the oldest EVER to go to space!

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE LAUNCH?

The launch will take place Tuesday, October 12th  from Van Horn, Texas.

WHO ELSE IS GOING UP IN SPACE WITH WILLIAM SHATNER?

According to the MRT...

Also flying with Shatner: a former NASA engineer who founded a nanosatellite company; the co-founder of a software company specializing in clinical research; and a Blue Origin employee. The up-and-down space hop will last 10 minutes and reach no higher than about 66 miles

It doesn't get any better than this. How many years have we seen actor William Shatner in SPACE on Star Trek and now he actually gets to do it.

My only wish is that he says his LEGENDARY Quote from Star Trek while in space...

"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."

Please let that happen and God be with you, William Shatner!

Can't wait for Tuesday!
