People who live in Midland-Odessa are used to experiencing every season in one week but could we see a week straight of spring-like weather soon?

Most Recent Cold Blast

On February 19, 2025, another cold blast made its way through the Permian Basin. the temps dropped to the teens and made sure all the locals noticed.

Several people in Midland reported seeing light snow for hours in the morning of February 19th but of course, nothing stuck around long enough to have a little fun.

Now while it is expected to warm up through this weekend in the Midland-Odessa area, it will still be pretty chilly.

That's this week but what about next week?

Good news Midland-Odessa warm weather is coming soon!

Anyone who knows me, knows I am not a fan of the cold. I would take a 110-degree day over anything under 60 every time, but I guess this isn't about me, let's get back to the weather.

Starting on Sunday, February 23rd, we will start seeing warmer weather in the Basin. It will be a slow climb but by Tuesday, February 25th, we should see temps in the mid-70s. You can expect the beginning of next week to start sunny but once we hit mid-week it will start getting cloudy again. Don't worry even though the could will return, the temps will stay in the late 60s to early 70s.

Now don't shoot the messenger. We all know that the weather changes when it wants to around here, so if this isn't fully accurate by the time next week hits, cut me some slack.
