Even though as of now, we are still unclear, as to how school will resume in the fall, one of the biggest challenges some families faced earlier this year when schools were forced to shut down in the spring because of the COVID pandemic was no access to a computer or internet.

According to Governor Abbott,

"As school districts delay the start of in-person instruction for the 2020-2021 school year due to COVID-19, it is essential that we work to provide Texas students with the devices they need to connect and communicate online for classroom instruction," said Governor Abbott.

State leaders have announced that Texas will spend more than $200 million through the CARES Act fund to purchase devices and home internet solutions for Texas students that lack the ability to get their schoolwork done from home if need be.
