Making an impact during our time on Earth is commendable, but leaving a lasting impression that extends beyond our lives is truly remarkable.

Texas-based radio personality Kidd Kraddick was one such character. Unfortunately, Kraddick passed away from cardiovascular disease back in 2013 at the age of 53.

Despite the enormous accolades that he accumulated during his life, he has maintained a lasting impact well over 10 years after his passing.

Kidd's Kids

Kidd's Kids was founded in 1991 after Kraddick and his wife received news that their unborn daughter might face life-threatening complications.

Fortunately, Carroline Kraddick was born healthy. This experience inspired Kraddick to help children with life-threatening diseases or conditions, aiming to bring joy and happiness into their lives.

The initiative aimed to provide families with an all-expenses-paid trip to Disney World. What began with just two families has since grown exponentially, thanks to Kraddick's dedicated annual fundraising efforts.

Even after his passing, the fundraising for Kidd's Kids has continued and now generates approximately $500,000 each year.

Through laughter, compassion, and a dedication to bring joy to children and families who are facing insurmountable odds, Kidd's Kids has been an unforgettable non-profit that is still keeping Kidd Kraddick's legacy alive and well.

Kidd's Kids in Midland-Odessa

Tuesday, August 26, will be the fundraising day for Kidd's Kids. Efforts on the radio, along with local sponsor Raising Cane's, will be hosting an event to support the fundraising effort of Kidd's Kids (The actual trip is not until later this year).

This will be a nationwide effort and not specifically aimed at Midland-Odessa.

However, locations in both Midland and Odessa will be collecting donations for Kidd's Kids.
