Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie-Rebecca’s Take

I did it. I watched Fifty Shades of Grey over the weekend. First of all, props to the ladies who rented a limo and went to watch the movie together. Such a cool idea and they had just finished watching the movie as I was arriving. Surprisingly, the show I went to was not sold out but the movie still went on to make over 80 million making it number 1 by far! So coming from someone who read all three books and loved them, let me tell you what I thought.....

I was not crazy about the movie. 'Christian Grey' grew on me as the movie progressed but I did not like Dakota Johnson, her acting, anything about her. She was not the right fit for what I thought Anastasia should be. I don't feel the actors were believable, there was never any connection or chemistry between them. There was nothing 'sexy' about the two together.

The music was my favorite part of the whole movie and except for a couple of steamy scenes I thought overall it was pretty boring. However, I've decided that after speaking with several people who watched, I personally think that those who read the books had expectations that were not met, while those who haven't loved it! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion....what is yours? If you watched the much anticipated movie, did you like it?
