Traffic Signal WILL BE OUT

LOOP 250 and Midkiff Road Intersection

The City of Midland Facebook states....

The traffic signal at Loop 250 and Midkiff Rd will be out of service for most of the day on Thursday, June 24, 2021, to allow for modifications related to the on-going service road widening project. Both service road intersections will operate as all-way stops and drivers should expect significant delays through the area.

This is part of a City Of Midland project to widen the frontage road in that area. Their facebook also stated that it is scheduled to be done by October.

4 WAY STOP

So, you will have to treat that intersection as a 4 way stop. Do you know the rules of a 4 way stop? How many of you remember this question on the 'driving test' you took when you first got your driver license. LOL Man, I think I passed that test way back in the day.

So , how do you handle a 4 way stop? Well, the website topdriver.com states...

When two vehicles arrive at a 4-way stop at the same time, and are located side-by-side, the vehicle furthest to the right has the right of way. If three vehicles arrive at the same time, the car furthest left should continue to yield until both of the other cars to the right of them have passed.

I do use a 4 way stop everyday on my way home and the best way I describe a 4 way is, WHEN ITS YOUR TURN, IT YOUR TURN. LOL Be polite, be courteous and wait for your turn to go. LOL It has worked for me.
