Things I Hate About Sitting In The Dentist Chair
Yesterday I made the dreaded annual trip to the dentist and it made me wonder.....am I the only one that feels stupid laying in the dentist's chair? lol
First of all, when the dentist is talking to you asking questions or filling you in on what they're doing, are you supposed to respond? It's going to be a muffled, crazy sounding, out-of-the-side-of-my-mouth response if I do! Second, how dumb do I look to you laying there? lol Dentist has her fingers in your mouth, the hygienist with the saliva suction thingy on the other side, at this point I feel like my 8 month old drooling everywhere.
Third, am I cross-eyed, because I'm really trying to stare up at the light but I'm pretty sure I look like a fool. Solution? I'll just close my eyes. lol And finally, I truly have NO IDEA what my tongue is doing, I'm trying my darndest to make sure it stays down but it has a mind of it's own and wants to follow whatever dental instrument is in my mouth. Help! My tongue is out-of-control! Honestly, does anyone else think of or do these things?
