Like many parents, for the past couple of weeks, we have been doing the back to school routine. School clothes shopping, making sure the correct school supplies have been bought, are shots are up-to-date? Dr, eye dr and dentist appointments made to make sure all is well with the littles and paperwork galore is filled out.

The day is here! Today is the first day of school in the 432! Summer went by pretty quick. How many first days of schools do you remember? The funny feeling you get in the stomach. Excitement, fear, anticipation are all going through your body...

It is the first day of school for Midland students, which means by now most kids in the       432 should be back to school ready to hit the books! My most memorable first day of school was when I was going into the 5th grade. Why?

It's funny how we as parents get just as excited about the first day of school as our kids do. This morning we went about our typical 'first day of school routine' and set out the door for the excitement to come on this much anticipated day!

I can't believe summer has come and gone. It's time to hit the books once again, the first day of school is here! Time to create new memories, make new friends and meet new teachers.
