Out Of The Mouths Of Babes….

It's funny how we as parents get just as excited about the first day of school as our kids do. This morning we went about our typical 'first day of school routine' and set out the door for the excitement to come on this much anticipated day!

When I stopped my two boys to snap a quick pick to preserve the memories, my 6 year old says, ' don't take my picture mom, I look like an old man.' What?? 'Why,' I ask? Apparently the shoes HE chose and loved so much when HE picked them out, today, look like old man shoes.lol Wow, I sense a battle brewing in the days to come, but we will deal with it later.

Next, as we head to my oldest son's school, we round the corner about to pull up and he says, 'I know you're going to want to kiss me mom, just get it over with before we're in front of the school.' My firstborn son, knows his mother so well. lol So I give him a quick peck on the cheek and off he goes. The things our children come up with! As we begin a new school year, prayers to you and yours that they have a safe, fun memorable year and many more to come.
