Legends and Urban Myths Of Our Area

1.) Adobe Meadow Subdivision - (Midland)

This neighborhood has only been around for a little over 10 years.  However, there have been multiple cases where people have experienced paranormal activity.  Everything from strange voices, random cold flashes, and even objects that seem to move on their own.

2.)  Copper Rose Building - (Odessa)

This iconic and historical building has spooked locals for decades.  Countless reports of unexplained apparitions, noises, and voices have been reported.  In some cases, people have reported that walking the halls can give people an uneasy feeling.

3.)  Billy the Ghost At The Barn Door Restaurant (Odessa)

The Barn Door not only offers Odessa delicious food, they also offer stories of a man who was shot in the original Pecos Depot before it was relocated to Odessa.  It has been said this ghost roams the restaurant and has appeared as an apparition of a man wearing older clothing.

4.) Ghost At Nimitz Middle School (Odessa)

There have been faculty, staff, and students who have experienced a ghost that appears to reside within the school grounds.  Odd occurrences, apparitions, and objects that seem to move on their own all add to the stories that someone is attending Nimitz Middle School from beyond the grave.

5.) Reptilian Creature In Odessa Pond (Odessa)

Who knew Odessa had their own version of the Loch Ness Monster? Local residents have seen and reported a reptilian creature in and around Odessa Pond.  People claim to have seen it emerging from the water, and that the creature has sharp teeth, and can appear to be aggressive.
