One of Odessa's longest running businesses is officially closing its doors for good. I remember when I was younger, my parents would find the coolest trinkets and furniture for our home. I loved to go shopping with them at one particular store because I walked in wide-eyed in awe of all the beautiful items this particular place offered. I'm talking about Golden Brass in the Music City Mall.

They have been around for over 30 years. This store has been around for as long as I can remember, it is a true original. I mean, whose parents or grandparents didn't have something they bought at Golden Brass? Furniture, accessories for your home, clocks, pretty shiny 'gold things' is what I always remember. Thus the 'brass.'

According to an article featured on CBS7.com, the Ham family which owns Golden Brass opened their doors in 1985, but because of COVID, things have slowed down and with many not wanting to shop in-store these days, they have decided to close down.

As of now, there is no official close date as the owners have decided to sell everything in the store before they shut down, which means a great deal of savings for anyone who wants to shop at Golden Brass 'one last time.' Right now you can get 60% off home accessories, lamps, pictures, gifts, etc. 50% off grandfather clocks and curios and up to 70% off furniture according to the Golden Brass Facebook page. In case you are hearing about this store closing for the first time, you may want to share the savings with your family and friends.
