Spring is in the air and April showers are imminent. Luckily for us, though, it seems like it will be raining dope music drops all month long -- no umbrella necessary. Real hip-hop heads are in for a treat as the month ahead has some highly-anticipated projects forecasted to hit retail and digital shelves.

Royce da 5'9" has been part of the conversation for the past few weeks, first for dissing Outsidaz on the track "Dead President Heads," and secondly for the release of the incredibly deep song and accompanying video “Tabernacle." His long-awaited LP, Layers, hits shelves April 15. If you can’t wait, his Trust the Shooter mixtape is currently available.

Also seeing the light of day in April is De La Soul's And the Anonymous Nobody LP. The album, which is the group's first in 11 years, was funded throughh Kickstarter -- fans pledged well over $600,000 to make it a reality. As well, Nas’ Mass Appeal imprint is releasing the long-awaited sixth posthumous project from legendary producer J Dilla. The Diary, unlike his past few instrumental releases, features Dilla's vocals over not only his beats, but production from the likes of House Shoes, Nottz, Hi-Tek and more.

If that wasn’t enough, Drake is dropping his Views From the 6 album, which was originally rumored to arrive in January of this year. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Take a look at the must-cop releases dropping this April.
