With COVID-19 going on this Christmas season, Music City Mall has a safe way for your kids to visit Santa This year.

According to NewsWest 9, you will have to make a reservation just to insure that everything goes smoothly.

Kids under 10 are not required to wear a mask, but are encouraged to wear one.

"When the kids come over and get their picture taken we'll of course make sure that their picture is taken without a mask, but Santa will wear one the whole time," said Greg Morgan, assistant manager at Music City Mall.

Kids will not be allowed to sit on Santa's lap but there will be a place for them to sit 6-feet away to tell Santa what they want for Christmas.

The kids will be allowed to take their masks off while getting pictures with Santa, but Santa will keep his mask on the whole time.

In case of a lot of Santa visits, Music City Mall will add security staff since they are having to move Santa to the ice rink area.

"In order to provide a safe environment for everyone we were going to have to make sure that if we wanted to keep normalcy, we still wanted to do teen night at the ice rink, we still wanted to do Santa, that we were going to have to invest in extra security to make that happen," said Morgan.

Santa visits will be happening from 11am-7pm with extended hours during the week of Christmas through December 24, 2020.
