MISD Hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Events Today

As you know, this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our media partners at Newswest 9 talked about one of the big events happening today.

Staff and students are gathering Travis Elementary School on E. Gist Avenue at 2:00PM for "Pink the Playground" which is where they wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. Donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation today will be in honor of second grade teacher Martha Enriquez who is a breast cancer survivor herself!
