Midland Meat Co. Owners Get National Recognition

It's always nice when residents or some of our local companies in Midland, Texas get national recognition.  The Scharbauer family, otherwise known for owning Midland Meat Co. was lucky enough to experience this on a recent segment that was featured on CBS alongside Stephen Colbert.

What can possibly be described as nothing short of surreal, the feature included Midland Meat Company's longtime partner Chef Daniel Boulud promoting his brand new New York restaurant.  At some point, the Scharbauer ranch is directly name-dropped as being accredited as Chef Boulud's meat supplier.  The Scharbauer Ranch has grown a respectable reputation for supplying high-quality meats to local businesses and companies throughout the country.  So it's no surprise that the slice of meat shown on television definitely looked high-quality.  As a zoomed-in closeup of the spectacular-looking piece of prime rib was being shown on air, Chef Boulud asked Mr. Colbert to rub seasoning into the meat.  Eventually, the meat was properly seasoned and ready to cook.  After some discussion, the attention is then diverted to a fully cooked prime rib which wowed the audience and offered to Mr. Colbert to taste.  Judging from his reaction, it's safe to say that he enjoyed it.

Congratulations to the Scharbauer family, all personnel of the Scharbauer Ranch, and Midland Meat Company for being well-represented on a national stage.
