What is the AAA?

AAA, the celebrated Mexican promotion known for its vivid costumed heroes and villains and long tradition of high-risk athleticism, brings its signature brand of wrestling entertainment to the Permian Basin.

Founded in 1992, AAA has grown into a global phenomenon, now partnered with major U.S. promotions, and is synonymous with bold characters and theatrical matches.

Texasmania Comes to Odessa

This Odessa show promises a who’s-who of lucha stars.

Names like Octagón Jr., Psycho Clown, Pagano, Flamita, Lady Maravilla, and the legendary Dr. Wagner Jr. will all be in attendance, promising the dramatic flair, death-defying dives, and dramatic rivalries that define the craft.

The event is produced by Torres Entertainment and 3BAT Lucha Libre, bringing the excitement directly to West Texas.

For Midland-Odessa fans, this is especially significant.

Rather than making the drive to Dallas or Houston for major events, they get the spectacle in their own backyard.

The Farwest Event Center will transform into a ring of color and noise, where families and longtime lucha aficionados alike will cheer masked warriors with stomps and launches that are sure to entertain the crowd.

10 Infamous Receipts in Pro Wrestling History

In pro wrestling, a "receipt" is an ass-kicking that you brought upon yourself. It comes from the cardinal rule of the business -- always take care of your opponent. If you fail to do that, the repercussions will fall squarely on your head (often via chair shot).

The Undertaker recently explained the purpose of giving receipts in wrestling. "I'm pretty patient [when it comes to giving a receipt]. It all depends on intent," the Deadman said. "Some guys just work very snug. I pride myself on my punches. I feel like I can make it look like I can take your head off and not touch you. Every once in a while one gets away from me... I'd much rather it be there than it miss. It ain't ballet."

But not all receipts come after a stiff shot gets away. Sometimes a performer delivers a receipt to protect themselves from an unsafe worker, like when Taker had to shut down Giant Gonzalez at Wrestlemania IX. "[Gonzalez] cracks me right across the back of my neck, and then once I get back the feeling in my little fingers... I flipped," Taker recalled on his podcast. "I turned around and just started wailing on him."
