I Have Been Reunited With One Of My Favorite Sandwiches

Who remembers this? The Monte Cristo from (the now closed) Bennigan's. I would go to the one in Odessa, specifically for this sandwich. A fried ham and swiss cheese sandwich sprinkled with powdered sugar and some blackberry jam to dip it in. One.of.my.favorites. But ever since Bennigan's went away, I haven't been able to find it until recently....

why didn't anyone tell me I could find this little slice of heaven at Cheddar's in Odessa? It is totally on the menu and as you can see, I did not hesitate to order it either! The sauce on the side, the whole nine. Talk about one happy girl! I can get my monte cristo fix once again and by the way, if you have never tried this sandwich, you are missing out!
