In Search Of Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Cheetos In Midland, Texas
Midland, Texas -- The Cheetos brand is no stranger to unique and bold flavor combinations. So when the rumors started to circulate in Q4 of 2024 of a Dill Pickle Flamin' Hot Cheeto flavor, it gained people's attention. In the latter part of 2024, the buzz gained significant traction across social media.

January 2025 passed and Cheetos had not released the flavor nor even said anything about it.
Until...
In a hilarious post on social media, Cheetos released a faux internal memo on February 14th stating that the idea of bringing a Dill Pickle version of Flamin' Hot Cheetos was leaked to the public and that they had no choice but to abide due to public demand. The faux internal memo also threatened whomever the so-called mole was who leaked the info to the public and also mentioned that the Dill Pickle Flamin' Cheetos were only going to be in stores for a limited time.
Being a pickle condenser, I knew I had to hunt these down to try them. But where?
Pilot
There is a Pilot Convenience Store near me that is easily the closest store I could launch my initial search. Unfortunately, I had no luck. They did not have them.
Stripes
Luckily, there is also a Stripes near me as well and I was hopeful that I'd be lucky enough to find the Dill Pickle Flamin' Hot Cheetos there. Again, no luck.
A Stroke Of Luck
By sheer luck, I had gone to another store and noticed the alise in disarray. That's when I noticed that the chips were being restocked!
Surely this man had some in his stock that I could score. So I asked him if he had any and he told me conflicting information. "Those aren't out yet," I told him that was confusing since I have seen people on social media get their hands on them. He then proceeded to tell me "I've been getting asked about them at least four times a day. Some of my coworkers said they've gotten some but it's only around 4 small bags per store." I then told him I had gone to other stores in the area and he told me that all the stores in the area were all on his route- and he did not have any. After the disappointment that it was looking like I wasn't going to be able to find them in Midland, I thought maybe I could look online for a few bags. Technically, I did find some but it wasn't surprising that people were price gouging.
Facebook Marketplace
This particular person on Facebook Marketplace was charging an insane $40 for one bag.
EBay EBay wasn't much better. They were readily available, however the price gouging was still there.
Conclusion
I am dying to try these since I am a huge fan of pickle-flavored... anything. I have no doubt that these can be found on shelves somewhere out there in Midland. However, it is not likely that there will not be very many if and when they are found.
