Look, don't come down on me. My hometown recently got one of these Amazon hubs and everytime I see it, I never really understood what it was for? I was scratching my head thinking why can't people just get their (weekly-or is that just me?) Amazon purchases delivered to their home?

I had to look into it and now it makes more sense. The Amazon Hub Locker as it is called, is for folks who live in apartments or those who live in a house but want a safe, secure spot where their Amazon deliveries can be safely stored until they can retrieve them. Dang porch thieves!

If you are going to be out-of-town for work or on vacation and don't have anyone to pick up your Amazon packages, this definitely comes in handy. And it seems so simple to use. Anyone can have a hub locker at anytime. Here's how you set it up, according to Amazon's website:

customers simply add an Amazon Locker to their Amazon address book and select the location as the shipping address during checkout. Once a package is ready for pickup, customers receive an e-mail with a unique 6 digit code that they’ll use to remove the package from the designated slot.

AMAZON HUB LOCKER LOCATIONS ODESSA:

Quick Track 13920 W Hwy. 80 E.

Rabbit Wireless 2618 N Grandview Ave Ste. A

Road Ranger 10490 W Interstate 20

AMAZON HUB LOCKER LOCATIONS MIDLAND:

Health Mart Pharmacy 1111 N Midkiff Rd Ste A

Obviously the only bad thing would be for large packages. You clearly can only fit certain smaller items in the locker but hey it is a great way to not have to worry about your packages being left at your front door! Have you used an Amazon Hub Locker and did you like it?
