Events Happening Today On The 1 Year Anniversary

Today is the 1 year anniversary of the mass shooting that forever changed the city of Odessa. It is a day to honor and reflect on the events that took place one year ago. Numerous events are taking place today on this day of remembrance:

• Governor Abbott has requested that all flags in Texas be flown at half staff today
• citizens and businesses are encouraged to wear yellow and/or place yellow ribbons on their doors
• 32 yellow flags are currently on display at Memorial Gardens
• at 3 p.m. today the community is encouraged to observe 32 seconds of silence
• at 8 p.m. a community drive-in remembrance service will be held at Connection Christian Church
