Since it is almost Halloween, all things scary and spooky are welcome right? Well for me that's a hard no because I don't like to be scared but for you thrill-seekers and horror flick lovers, this one is for you. I have to say my mind was blown when I discovered just the other day that some of the most iconic scary movies ever made were based on actual true events/stories.

  1. The Exorcist-in my opinion, the scariest movie ever made, hands down! This movie is based on a book which is based on a boy named Roland who was possessed by demons in the 1940's. Legend has it his exorcism was so scary, there have been countless books written by people who actually witnessed it. I'm not rewatching it but in case you need a reminder of how the movie goes...

2. The Exorcism of Emily Rose-another NOPE from me, never watched it, don't care to. But it is based on the life of Anneliese Michel who was possessed by demons so much that it took almost a year to successfully perform her exorcism. During that time, 67 exorcisms were performed.

3. The 1982 classic Poltergeist-I watched this once, it was enough for me. Based on a true story of the Hermann family from Long Island, New York who claimed their home was haunted by a poltergeist that made objects fly through their home and terrorized their children.VIDEO]
