Dust Storm Warning Issued for Midland and Odessa

The National Weather Service has issued a Dust Storm warning for our area. All residents of Midland/Odessa are expected to take precautionary measures to ensure their safety.

Anyone who is traveling on the road should stop on the shoulder or off to the side of the road if the visibility gets too low. Drivers are also encouraged to either constantly pump the brakes so the brake lights can notify other drivers or to put on their hazard lights.

It is also encouraged that anyone who is not in a vehicle get out of the elements any way they can. Dust storms can cause all kinds of health issues, such as respiratory complications. Infants and the elderly can be especially sensitive to such conditions and are encouraged to take shelter indoors.

Remember, be safe. Do not go anywhere if it is not needed. It is better to be safe than be sorry. Be careful out there Midland/Odessa.
