Here we thought we had it bad with cities close by called Pecos, which some folks incorrectly pronounce Pee-cos, or Waxahachie, TX, in which case you're better off trying to pronounce Worcestershire correctly. Unusual names of cities in Texas are not far-fetched. Part of my family once lived in Boerne. I dare you to attempt that one!

But as I was scrolling through TikTok yesterday I came across one of my favorite TikTokers RalphtheComedian talking about cities in Texas you do not want to visit. I didn't pay any mind to that part but one thing that did catch my eye? The NAMES of a couple of the cities he mentioned!

3 CITIES IN TEXAS WITH THE MOST UNUSUAL NAMES:

CUT & SHOOT, TEXAS- Does it get anymore Texan than thatHow on earth did this city get its name? Here is a brief history. According to cutandshoot.org, back in 1912 in the midst of an argument once of the townspeople shouted the phrase

I'm going to cut around the corner and shoot through the bushes in a minute!

And thus the name of the town was born. Cut & Shoot is located 40 miles north of Houston.
