Who Has The Best Nachos In Odessa, Texas?
Just like many other people living in Odessa, Texas, I am a huge fan of nachos. And what's not to love? They are light, packed with toppings and flavor, and can be enjoyed as a snack or an actual meal.

I thought, since I am new to the area I had to try several places to get a good idea of what the city has to offer. An excuse to eat nachos? I was easily committed. Having said that, I went out in search for some of the tastiest nachos Odessa had to offer. For research purposes of course! **Gives side eye** I knew that getting my nacho fix from a gas station or one of those prepackaged nacho kits they serve at the movie theater was NOT going to cut it. I had to hit the streets.
Rosa's Cafe & Tortilla Factory
In a recent trip to Rosa's Cafe, I noticed that they offered nachos as part of their menu. So naturally, I gave them a shot. I felt the order was very good. My only gripe was that it did not come with enough sour cream. The pico mixed along with the cheese and ground beef gave it a good flavor. However, to be perfectly honest they tasted just like every other nachos. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed them. However, there was nothing that stood out for me. Rosa's Cafe nachos were good, but if I am eating at Rosa's in the future, I'm likely going to skip their nachos and eat something else like their delicious enchilada plate.
Taco Villa
This was my first experience eating at Taco Villa. Once I walked in the smells punched me right in the face. It smelled amazing. But I was there strictly for the nachos despite wanting to order some of the other menu items. I have no doubt that the food at Taco Villa is delicious. However, the nachos were somewhat lackluster. There were only four ingredients- chips, nacho cheese, ground beef, and jalapenos. I guess I expected tomatoes, pico, or sour cream, but I was wrong. I did like how the ground beef was seasoned but to be honest, I think next time I am going to skip the nachos from Taco Villa and order something else.
KD's Paleteria and Snacks
I believe I hit the jackpot with this discovery. Enter KD's Paleteria and Snacks ELOTE NACHOS! These are called Dorinachos and are hands-down some of the best nachos I have ever eaten in my entire life. The chips are not regular chips, they use Doritos, cover it with traditional nacho fixings, and then smother elote on top of it. I would have liked to have had it a tad spicy, but that is my own personal preference. These were incredible. I would be excited to see nachos better than these but I am highly doubtful I could find something in Odessa that could top this.
Conclusion
I acknowledge that there may be other places I have yet to try in Odessa, Texas in terms of delicious nachos so I am going to continue to be on the hunt for them. However, I felt this was a great start. #TheSearchContinues
