Who Has The Best Fries in Odessa, Texas?
When it comes to french fries, Odessa, Texas has fans just like anywhere else in the world. It is safe to say that not all fries are equal, so I set out to find some delicious fries in the Odessa area.

Origins
There is actually a debate on the true origins of French Fries. Some may think they originated in France, hence the name. However, that may not be the case. Both France and Belgium claim to be the true inventor of what we call French fries. According to Belgium, they were known to fry small fish in the 17th century and when the weather would turn cold, they would substitute the fish for potatoes. Meanwhile, the French claim fries were invented in Paris around 1789 by street vendors selling thin sliced individual fried potatos. The term "French Fries" did not become popular until American soldiers ate them while in Belgium during World War I. French was the main language in the region so they mistakenly called them "French Fries", and the name stuck.
Texas Burger
This was my first Texas Burger experience and did not really know what to expect. The fries were surprisingly good. Well seasoned and full of flavor. They didn’t taste like they were old, they appeared to be fresh. This set of fries differs from the others I tried since in the Texas Burger fries were more traditional versus the others. I felt like these could go exceedingly well with a Hamburger.
Taco Villa
I opted to get the cheese fries in this situation as I rolled into Taco Villa. Who can turn down melted cheese on fries? The fries themselves looked more traditional and tasted exceedingly good. However, to be honest I am unsure if I would have felt the same if the cheese wasn't acting like a cheat code. Regardless, I absolutely loved the Taco Villa cheese fries. Will I eat this again? I definitely would.
JaRic Munchie's & More Seeing, smelling, and tasting these fries came as a pleasant surprise. The "Supreme Fries" from JaRic Munchie's & More consist of seasoned fries, bistec, nacho cheese, pico de gallo, mozzarella cheese, and Hot Cheeto dust. 😀 I can only consider this a game-changer. This was fantastic. The fries were hot and did not appear to be soggy. The enjoyed the taste and all the flavors.
