What Was Your Very First Job?

A big thank you to everyone who came by our Teen Job Fair yesterday! Many teens stepped it up and are ready to join the workforce, big props to them. I remember how tough it was to go out looking for a job at that age.

I got my first job at 16 years old, but trust, I did not have a job fair to help me out. lol I had a dad who made it very clear one day that I was to go look for a job and not come home until I had one. Back in the day, we still listened to our parents, that's all he had to say. No matter how embarrassed I was to go searching, you can bet I came back at the end of the day with my very first job....as a waitress.

 
It was a Mexican food restaurant in my hometown. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but it grew on me. I liked the people I worked with, the food was really good and the paycheck (for me, at the time) was fabulous! All I needed it for was gas in my car and to hang out with my friends. Make the most of it teens when you too join the workforce, you will make some great memories you will remember for a lifetime!
