As I was leaving work the other day, I had to pause for a tumbleweed to roll on by as I didn't want it to get stuck on my front bumper. It's funny how many tumbleweeds we encounter here in West Texas, yet I learned a few years back that not everyone knows what a tumbleweed is and there are people who live in other states who have actually gone online to purchase them! Are they that fascinating? Apparently that and so much more!

According to Texas Monthly, it is actually trendy to decorate your home with tumbleweeds. Excuse me? After a good windy day, I can accumulate 4 or 5 of these things by my back gate but never have I thought to bring a couple in to hang from the ceiling. lol

I mean, I can't tell you how many times I've told one of my boys, 'go throw those in the dumpster, they're a nuisance.' To Texans they may be because we are so used to them but to many, not so much.

Truly one man's trash is another man's treasure. People from all over the country are using them as part of their decor and even putting lights on them to light up a room. Isn't that dangerous? They're so dry. Clearly I do not know the secret to preserving them.

However, I may be starting a business soon, check out how much one of these babies goes for on Etsy!
