National nonprofit Canine Companions® hosts
live puppy cam featuring eight-week-old future service dogs
As we continue to navigate the pandemic, national nonprofit Canine Companions is spreading a little joy in honor of National Puppy Day, Tuesday March 23. Tune into a live puppy cam to watch a litter of eight-week-old future service dogs as they play, eat, sleep and grow!
This National Puppy Day, visit cci.org/puppycam to learn what the first stage of life is like for a future service dog. It’s sure to brighten your day!
Canine Companions service dogs are trained in over 40 commands and are matched with children, adults and veterans with disabilities free of charge. These dogs assist with daily tasks such as retrieving dropped items, opening and closing doors and drawers, turning on and off lights and much more to enhance independence for people with disabilities. To get there, it takes nearly two years of hard work and love, starting at the very beginning as adorable puppies.
While it may be hard to tell, the young puppies in the live cam are already training for their special futures. Learning to interact with each other and humans, playing on and around different surfaces and being exposed to new sights, sounds and smells helps build the foundation for a successful service dog.
There are over 400 people with disabilities across the country waiting to be matched with a Canine Companions service dog. Help the puppies of today become the service dogs of tomorrow. To learn more or donate, visit cci.org.
