TXDOT Helping Make Driving Around Rock the Desert in Midland Easier This Year

This weekend one of the largest Christian musical festivals in this area will be taking place. I'm talking about Rock the Desert. In case you were not aware, 1788, which is a road that must be traveled to get to the Rock the Desert grounds has been under construction for quite some time now. 

However, TxDot announced that for this weekend they will be suspending construction, so that concert goers will be able to attend a tad bit more easily. You can still expect uneven pavement, some drop-off areas and are still asked to abide by the speed limit and pay attention to warning signs.
