Truck Nearly Gets Hit By Train In South Midland, Texas
Midland, Texas -- A video that is going viral is making the rounds that shows an incident that happened in Southern Midland where an 18-wheeler bottomed out on the railroad tracks.

In the video we see an 18-wheel stuck on the tracks as the train is fast approaching. Luckily, quick-thinking passers-by made moves to save the day. The video shows someone using a commercial loader which is mostly used for construction to help push the trailer off the tracks before the train ran into it. The gamble apparently seemed to work and the driver, truck, and the loader were spared from tragedy.
I would like to say kudos for the people who came together who made this happen. This could had turned out much different and caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage and possible loss of life.
While tragedy was indeed avoided, some of the comments on Facebook were filled with people giving their opinion on the matter.
Above all else, the driver should have known not to cross the tracks with that trailer. Driver’s CDL should be suspended. It is no different than hitting a overpass or bridge. -Gerald Williams
Others were a little more sympathetic on the situation.
At least they got it off the track. Thank goodness another accident ready to happen. -Devin Trent
It is great to know the people of Midland, Texas came together to avoid what would had otherwise been an unfortunate accident.
