Comic book fans from all over the region can rejoice, because The Traveling Comic Book Store is coming to Odessa, Texas.  So what exactly is The Traveling Comic Book Store?  It is exactly as the name suggests, it's a traveling comic book store that parades around going to different cities buying, selling, and trading for new or valuable comic books.

The History Of Comic Books

Comic books date back further than what many people may realize—eventually evolving from illustrated narratives and stories until they became what we know as modern comic books.  In the 1830s, an ancient Egyptian piece dubbed “The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck” was discovered and widely known as one of the earliest art pieces that combined illustration and text in a comic-type style.  However, it wasn't until the 1930s that comics took a turn toward what we know today.

The Traveling Comic Book Store

The event is a trade show by Kenny’s Comics. Based in Texas, the show brings tons of comics, mangas, toys and more to the Southwest region of the US.  Hence the name, The Traveling Comic Book Show.
