This Scary Noise Woke Me Up The Other Night-You Won’t Believe Where It Was Coming From

Ok I officially feel foolish. I think I read too many Goosebumps and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books as a kid because I am truly afraid of 'things that go bump in the night.' I probably should have fallen asleep early at slumber parties instead of sitting around with a bunch of girls (who did not scare easily like I do) listening to their scary stories. Half claiming they were true and 10 year old me believing them, still to this day! lol

So the other night I hear a strange noise in the middle of the night. It was like a soft growling noise coming from inside my bedroom. I didn't want to wake anyone else in the house so I just layed there hoping someone else would hear it and go investigate, because I was not about to move!

What if it was coming from under my bed and whatever it was grabbed me the second my foot touched the floor? I wouldn't even open my eyes because I was afraid to see some glowing eyes somewhere in the room and hell to the no on that one. So I layed there quietly listening, not moving an inch, the noise continued.

Finally I thought you know what, forget it, I'll reach for my phone, turn on the flashlight and whatever happens happens. As a grown woman, I was ready to be brave. lol

I quickly snagged my phone, pushed the flashlight button and flashed the light but nothing was there except my doggy fast asleep in the corner...he looked so cozy and sweet. I layed there a little longer and thought whatever it is it would have presented itself by now and I had to work the next day so may as well try to fall back asleep.

Right about that time, my man wakes up and says to me, 'gosh that dog snores loud!'

Wait what? Are you kidding me? That's a thing? Dogs snore like humans, like me? lol I couldn't believe I stayed awake for so long, afraid of the cucuy and it was my dang dog all along? I had never heard a dog snore in my entire life but since that incident, I hear it now. Often and loud. OMG do I feel like an idiot! I hope I at least made your day and gave you a good laugh at my expense.
