There are a couple of things I have never done alone. I have never gone to the movies by myself, I have never eaten a meal by myself at a restaurant. Not that I wouldn't, or that there is anything wrong with it, just that I never have. However, yesterday when I was out and about running errands with a friend, we stopped to get their car washed.

Thankfully I was in the passenger seat because I am telling you, I cannot. I discovered the anxiety that doing something as simple as going through the car wash gives me. I don't care how many signs are flashing at me, the instructions that are given, make me crazy nervous.

I cannot be trusted to:

a) line up my ride exactly how it is supposed to be

b) not run over the foot of the person doing their job, scrubbing my tires, and such (not intentionally, out of pure nervousness)

c) know when to put my car in neutral and let my car roll on its own and then know when to put it back in drive

Clearly, this is not something I will be doing on my own in the future if ever! I still have questions after yesterday's experience...how do I know when the wash is done? When do I pull forward to the dryer? How long do I stay under the dryer? Will someone let me know when I am done completely and can drive away?

Nope. Can't do it.
