That Mexican OT Comes To Midland, Texas
Midland, Texas -- That Mexican OT, born Virgil René Gazca, has gained a lot of popularity in not only his home state of Texas, but also in the rap industry as well.

After spending some time in the underground rap scene, he was thrown into the national spotlight in 2023 when his single "Johnny Dang" featuring Paul Wall reached 65 on the Billboard Hot 100. That same year, he released his debut studio album titled "Lonestar Luchador". The album was well-received and contributed much to his success, along with his unapologetic vibe, which infuses both a Latin and Southern heritage simultaneously.
He made the rounds on TikTok in 2024 and someone asked him what was his craziest show. He directly mentioned Midland, Texas and said the show was one of the best he had ever performed. He credited Midland-Odessa for showing him a lot of love as he was an up-and-coming rap artist. Fast forward to 2025, he is going to be making his way back to the Permian Basin.
