Happy Spring Break 2023, Texas! If you're like our family, you're trying to figure out ways to keep the kids busy, and maybe looking for a great opportunity to play hooky at the same time.

I've said it so many times - one of my favorite things about living in Central Texas is how close you are to most places of interest. Granted, Interstate 10 from east to west is over 1,000 miles wide, so some spots are still quite a distance. We are, from a population standpoint, the geographical center of the state.

If you jumped in the car first thing in the morning, it would only take about an hour to reach Austin. In 2 and 1/2 hours you could be arriving in San Antonio. In about the same time you could be checking out almost anywhere in Dallas/Ft. Worth. You can even have your toes in the sand on a gulf beach within 3 hours.
