#4 FORT WORTH
Right next to Dallas, lies a place called Fort Worth. I happen to like Fort Worth because there's an In and Out burger there--but that's another article. Fort Worth is number 4 on our list of the 25 Most Dangerous Cities in Texas. The FBI says that in 2019, 4,068 Violent Crimes were reported in Fort Worth, with a then-population of 915,237 people.
#3 SAN ANTONIO
The 3rd Most Dangerous City In Texas, according to FBI data on Violent Crimes reported in 2019--is San Antonio. The Population at the time was 1,559,166 people.
It makes sense that the top 2 cities that are Most Dangerous In Texas are the two largest cities here in Texas. In at #2 is Dallas, with a Population in 2019 of 1,363,295 people... There were 11,764 Violent Crimes reported in Dallas in 2019, according to FBI data.
And--In at #1--the largest city in Texas--Houston. The population of Houston in 2019 was 2,355,606 people, and there were 25,257 Violent Crimes reported in the city that year. It's not a shock that the areas with the biggest populations also have the most crime-but what IS a shock is that Midland is COMPLETELY MISSING from the list! I mean-we know things happen here in the area and it's not a total crime-free zone... But it's nice to be off the FBI's Crime statistics list. Hopefully, that makes you feel a little safer tonight.
