Fourth of July is quickly approaching! Before you know it it will be time to celebrate Independence Day and in Odessa that celebration will be taking place on Friday July 2nd. Things will be looking a little bit different this year but will be a good time no doubt.
In case you were not aware, a couple of super popular, largely attended events have already been cancelled for later this year. The announcement was made recently that the City of Odessa has cancelled the Firecracker Fandango celebration that normally takes place for the 4th of July out of 'an abundance of caution.'
The 2018 Star Spangled Salute in Midland will be here before you know it! Who's ready for some fireworks? The fourth festivities are going down on Wednesday, July 4th at Hogan Park 1201 E. Wadley Avenue.
A heads up to those planning your 4th of July festivities, Odessa will be having their 23rd Annual Firecracker Fandango this Saturday June 30th. Admission is free and if you and your family are looking for something to do, this is it!
Happy 4th of July from Carmen. She loves fireworks! But, something tells me she has a different reason for wanting fireworks this year. And, it involves her Mother In Law. LOL
Check out Carmen below!
I cannot believe it is already going to be the 4th of July! The holiday is fast approaching. So what is there to do in the 4-3-2? The 21st annual Firecracker Fandango goes down this Saturday, July 1st on Grant Avenue between 2nd and 5th streets. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. with the Jaycees Independence Day Parade.
Fourth of July means it's time to visit a fireworks stand. Isn't it fun to go on the hunt for these places. LOL They are always in the weirdest locations, usually outside city limits. It's funny where one will pop up.
So me and Rebecca started talking about what's it like for us when we visit a fireworks stand; probably a lot different than your experience...
