Naming a baby can be quite a difficult task.  Figuring out the title of a person's life can be daunting! I bet you never thought about it that way. Now the pressure is really on you!

Growing up you probably had a few baby names already picked out. I know for most women we did this at an early age. I did this also and held on to those names as I got older. When I became pregnant those names did not feel right so we were back at square one. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I was researching names. Even starting from scratch I still had her name for months before she was born, for most, this is not the case.

We kept wanting something different while deciding on a name. This happens a lot among parents, they want a name nobody has. This is when the names start getting weird or become symbols. This would make sense as to why some states would put restrictions on names.

I think names should be creative or unique, but Texas has a limit. I'm sure Texas isn't being a mean girl and trying to ruin your fun but there has to be a standard set somewhere. There aren't many restrictions when it comes to names in Texas but there are a few. Some of the restrictions are obvious but some will make you go hmmm.

Here are the names you can not use in Texas. Hopefully, your future baby's name isn't on this list!
