It is Flashback Friday! Heck yeah, which is why I will tell you what I will be watching this weekend. 100% picture me in front of the tv at some point during the weekend watching this new biopic because...Salt-N-Pepa. Enough said. I've been seeing the preview trailer all week long and let me tell you, it looks good!

If you didn't Shoop, Push It, Shake Your Thang or Talk About Sex back in the day with Salt-N-Pepa, we can't even be friends! The 'first ladies of hip hop,' Cheryl 'Salt' James and Sandra 'Pepa' Denton are executive producers of a three hour biopic called Push It that will premiere tomorrow night on Lifetime at 7 pm. Check out the trailer:

I don't know about you but I'm excited to learn more about the female hip hop group who paved the way for female rappers today. Where they met, where it all began, the struggles, the trials, the tribulations and later their awards and accolades.

Pepa's own daughter Egypt Criss auditioned to play her mother but in the end did not make the cut. Queen Latifah shares executive producing duties and no doubt the 80's fashion will have us all taking a trip down memory lane to the days when we wished we could own one of their colorful outfits, chunky necklaces and earrings or sport one of their flashy jackets just once! The music, the moves, don't miss Push It, the story of Salt-N-Pepa tomorrow night on Lifetime!
