Midland, Texas Fire Department Asks Community To Fill Their Boots

The Midland, Texas, Fire Department tries its best to do good in the community.  Efforts that will give back to the people who seem to be in need.  Not just when there is a fire or an emergency, but other kinds of emergencies as well.

Every year, the Midland Fire Department pulls its resources and campaigns to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, otherwise known as MDA.  In a campaign called "Fill the Boot", firefighters will be going to different locations around Midland and standing on street corners.  They will be raising money on the side of the road by holding a boot and encouraging the people of Midland to donate to the cause by filling the boot with money.  The fire department also has multiple locations where people can go instead of driving around the city trying to hunt them down.

In previous years, the Midland Fire Department has raised thousands of dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  The event itself gained so much popularity that they began doing it annually.  Cheers to the Midland Fire Department and each and every one of the citizens of Midland, Texas who donated for such a good cause.  Lets make this year the most successful to-date.
